My Coding News Blog Thing Dedicated to Mission Hill, and My Favorite Computer Guy, Jim Kuback

So I fell down the SEO rabbit hole and decided to try to make a coding blog that I could monetize. “Time to get me some of that sweet, sweet internet money and buy me a new Panasonic TV”, I said.

I had taken one of those “Learn to Code” type courses, and had learned all about API’s and RSS feeds and what not, so I thought I would try to make a coding news website that pulls news stories. Then, as is typical of me, I got carried away.

“It should be a Learn to Hack type site”, I thought. This led me to remember Nick Burns, Company Computer Guy from SNL, which led me to remember Jim Kuback, the animated “computer guy” from one of the best cartoon network shows ever, Mission Hill.

“It should have a dark mode switch”, I thought, which led to the patented Purpler switch.

Of course, I had to have an Our Team page, but I thought it would be funny if I just used people who looked like the human version of the animated characters. I couldn’t find anyone who looks like Jim Kuback though. If you know of anyone who looks like him, please let me know.

I can’t believe the domain name wasn’t taken, that’s just insane. For those who don’t know, the Karai Pantsu episode is awesome. You can watch it here. In the episode, Jim visits Japan and brings back what he claims is the newest fashion trend, spicy pants (Karai Pantsu). They look pretty much like hot pants; tight neon shorts adorned with what look like Chinese anime characters on them.

A lot of the voice actors on Mission Hill aren’t too well known, aside from Jim Kuback, voiced by comedian Brian Posehn (easy to tell), and Posey Tyler, voiced by comedian Vicki Lewis. This is not immediately apparent, but I know the actress from NewsRadio, so I can hear her voice in Posey’s voice now. It’s a really great voice she does for Posey, funny and unique, with that perfect hippie vibe.

Brian Posehn does some hilarious stand-up also. A friend of mine told me she would totally wife Brian Posehn. This is despite the fact that he closely resembles a baby sloth, so that should give you an idea how funny he is. Posehn is great on Mission Hill and I loved him in the Sarah Silverman Program, a short-lived underrated show, much like Mission Hill.

Anyway, it may seem odd to dedicate a whole site to this animated series, but it is after all, near and dear to my heart. I fall asleep to it regularly. You can too. Watch it here, and/or buy it here.

And if you want to learn to code, this is the perfect site to start off with some simple scripting tricks.
